NEW FORUM FOR ALL

For a while now MidiMart has been giving serious consideration to setting up a forum where midi fans from all over the world can get together to exchange ideas and information on all things Midi.

Well the good news is MidiMart has now set up such a forum that everyone is welcome to join and get in on the act.

Think about it:

You can chat about your favourite files and sequencers. You can place requests for files you thought you'd never get your hands on unless you were prepared to pay.

You can learn how to do you own files, how to add karaoke, and, if necessary, how to remove or adjust certain tracks within each file. The list is endless.

Also you're invited to chat about other things that tickle your fancy.

In order to be able to participate on the Forum and avail of all it has to offer you will need to become a member, and to do this you will need to register.

Registering is a very simple procedure and takes only a few moments to complete. Once this is done you're free to either join in any on-going discussions, or start up your own topic. It couldn't be simpler.

This site will be updated every Monday with a new Top 30 Download chart. This Top 30 is for our site only and does not represent any other chart or chart downloads. It is a true representation of the files downloaded on a weekly basis, this is from Mon - Sun and will be published the following Monday.

These files will be available in mp3 format, downloadable from our Forum.

We will add new files to our Midi list every few days. To be sure of obtaining the new files available join our Forum. All new Midi files will be published on the Forum, one month prior to downloading from the main site.

Introduction.....

If this is your first visit to MidiMart.net we welcome you. Here you will find over 6000 of free GM/GS/XG midi files for you to download (With membership). I have used the Edirol SD-80, Roland Sound Canvas SC55, and Cubase to sequence these midi files. Anything less may give an inferior representation of what the files are intend to sound like. The sounds are adequate on a decent sound card with MIDI and synth capabilities, but not as good as the above. May I also suggest that the Windows Media Player and a pair of quality headphones to get the full stereo sound balance. The Windows media player that comes as standard on a PC is a good player to use. Have fun and enjoy our site.

There is no limit to your downloads, you can download 1 file or all of them (due to the quality of these files we guess the latter). If you have visited our site before, welcome back (we knew you couldn't keep away). All of you who have been here before know the quality of our files. Those of you who have had dealings with MINVEC UK, will know our standards. We do not put RUBBISH on our site.

FREE MIDI Files..... (Only With Membership)

This is the home of the most professional (FREE) midi files available on the internet (Membership must be obtained before downloading). Any other midi files of this quality are available only on sites that charge a fee for them.... Well not here. These midi files are completely free of any costs (with membership). The main difference with our files is that we do not include the lead line or lyric line, these files are created with the gigging artiste in mind and therefore will not require the lyric line. Our files are created for the artiste who plays no instrument and therefore has all instrumental backing. If you require a track to be tailored to suit your own needs and you can't or don't know how to mute or take off the lead guitar line for instance. Please feel free to contact us at MidiMart.net. with the song title, artist and the instrument that needs removing, we will do the work for you, then pop the track in an attachment and email it directly to you.

The Real Live Feel.....

After listening to our tracks or using some on stage you may be wondering how we get the real live feel. Well there is no substitute for real live sequencing, but if you like me can't play a guitar and can't employ a session player or a drummer to play live directly into your sequencer. Then to get the feel of live backing is to offset each beat of the drums by 1/1000 of a second either way and you get a more live feel, or the guitar picking or strumming. In fact it can be done with any instrument also vary the volumes (but don't over do this). There is no drummer or guitarist in this world that can play an instrument EXACTLY on the beat. And so to strum a chord or play lead guitar EXACTLY on the beat is impossible. Just play around with the timing of each note and you will be amazed how a live feel can improve the quality of a track. No more robotic sounds.
